Sounds like a driver problem - take it up with the tablet manufacturer who appears to be Asus. Make sure that a more recent or other version of the driver doesn't help.
I can see why there may be only Windows 8 support, but without more details about exactly what product you are talking about...
Did you follow the installation instructions ?

What happens if you browse this link locally on your foobar2000 Win7 PC ?

Maybe you Win7 PC has some firewall that is preventing the connection ?
If your tablet uses a different subnet than your Win7 PC, you might have to enter the PC IP manually on your Android device.

Hello,
Currently I am waiting for an answer to this question from :
http://127.0.0.1:8888/foobar2000controller/index.html (http://127.0.0.1:8888/foobar2000controller/index.html)
During installation , the firewall has request permission : OK
In fact, under windwos 7 , many wifi android remote are not recognized ; while under Windows 8.1 : no problem .
For example: the remote control of clementine software is recognized immediately ??
I note that the tablet is the same for testing whether with the PC equipped with win 8 or the computer with windows 7 .
THERE probably a driver problem under win 7 but it would be a pilot inherent in win 7 Home Premium edition ?
Best Regards.
hmmm ... my prefs are generic and look like this
if I click the highlighted button (http://127.0.0.1:8888/), my browser is showing this
[a href="http://postimg.org/image/3sd19spvd/" target="_blank"](http://s4.postimg.org/3sd19spvd/fb2k_browser1.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/o1vrl8pdb/)
if I enter http://127.0.0.1:8888/foobar2000controller/index.html (http://127.0.0.1:8888/foobar2000controller/index.html) I see this
(http://s29.postimg.org/upsgv2m1v/fb2k_browser2.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/upsgv2m1v/)
This is all on Win7 x64 Professional and the same on my Win7 x64 Ultimate box.
Good Evening,
Thank you for this very didactic email.
The test works perfectly with Win 8.
Under win 7 premium edition, the test does not work. Here is the answer:
Something went wrong: no templates found!
Possible explanation: you forgot to get yourself a template, or extracted it Into a wrong site.
Check foobar2000 console (View / console) Where path for templates are expected to Be Found.
Get templates!
A web search shows that it lacks Secpool.dll. This would be only the pro version.
Thank you for your help.
Best Regards.
