Title: Cannot resize UI Element windows while changing layout.
Post by: Snakelake on 2015-02-09 23:06:31
I have been using Foobar2k for a while without any issues and just updated it to the latest version (1.3.7) and decided to change the layout. However it looks like I just can't resize the UI Element windows even though I was in layout editing mode. Now my album cover picture is stuck being undesirably small, among other things.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me how to go about resizing the windows.

With Layout Editing Mode enabled, right-click on the splitters and make sure none of the Lock Top/Bottom/Left/Right Pane options are ticked in the context menu.

That worked for me. Thanks!

I did it, but i can not resize the heights of the two panels on the left, the pointer did not change to an arrow. Even the common context (right click) menu of the two (left) panels does not appear.

It works between (double) left and (single) right panels (changing the width).

...i can not resize the heights of the two panels on the left, the pointer did not change to an arrow....
It could be due to the fact certain panels have a minimal height or width requirement. You could try temporarily replacing the element you cannot resize with another component, if you can resize it then, that is the issue.

Thank you for your quick reply. Sorry, even replacing both (top and bottom) panels to else (single, simple) ones, the situation is the same.

(By the way, my Default UI is about 8 years old; but it is so complicated, that it would take several days to remake; so i can not start over with a fresh installation.)

All right, i did it, thanks to JohnBuckWLD.
The culprits were:
In the future i shall use them from the menu, instead of tabs: menu opens popup.

Suggestion to developer: get rid of these width requirements.
