Title: Russian characters
Post by: nesvariigi on 2013-04-29 13:25:35
Ok, i am sick of searching already. Nothing helps.

Russian characters are not displayed properly in Foobar. Files are mp3, tags are ID3v2.3 or 2.4. Encoding is UTF-8. Font is Tahoma. I don't see where the problem is. Maybe some of you can help?

What do you mean by "not displayed properly"? Do you see wrong characters, boxes, something else?

The tags have been coded with wrong codepage at some point. You can use Chacon (http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_chacon) component to fix things.

None of codepages fixes the problem

Try preconversion = 1252, original charset = 1251.

My solution was: system code page, and 1251. At first, I didn't know how Chacon works. Then, I read the tutorial. Now it is clear to me. Thanks again.
