Title: DVD convert to DSD
Post by: ramiroflores on 2024-04-12 09:08:11
Hello everyone,

I have some ISO files with DVD/Audio that I want to convert to DSD64 (DSD). Who can help me?

Thank you in advance!

Well if you seriously want to do a lossy operation to create ugly amounts of noise and save to an inferior format that causes clicking upon track transitions and ...

* I might be wrong, but I think it was https://tascam.com/int/product/hi-res_editor/top I used when I did some testing.
* Then someone pointed at a port of SoX with DSD capabability: https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,120611.msg994126.html#msg994126
* Otherwise, the JRiver Media Center ($70 or $90, likely not worth it for only this single application, but if you like the software for the right reasons ...) can do this on-the-fly: it can convert whatever input to a DSD output upon playback.

...and what about Foobar2000 + dsd converter/transcoder (https://sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/) ?

1. Why ?
2. Do you need resulting file(s) or just "on the fly" conversion ?
