How do I enable it? It's all greyed out

Which is interesting because Trelane's plugin in Media Jukebox has noise shaping option available. Does the MJ plugin's noise shaping work, and what exactly does it do?

The MJ plugin is based off of Frank's command line decoder, which has noise shaping implemented.
