Can VLC set an MP4 frame as cover art?

I have a bunch of mp4 videos whose cover art I would like to change by using a still from each of the videos and setting them as the new cover art, but I don't know if there's an all-in-one tool that can do that with a single click. I figured VLC Media Player could do that, but I've only been able to take stills as JPGs so far. Can VLC or any other single tool do what I wish?
