Crashs

Because of my poor English, I paste 3 jpgs  only.
The crash happened when I clear a playlist and add a directory to it.
And, in the directory have many subdirectory and many files(include .mp3 and .wma files).
And, my os is WinXP CHN Simplified

Please redownload foobar2000 setup from official site and reinstall. There is a slight problem with files on Case's site.

Is this going to be a permanent problem or will the problem be solved? I like the fact that Case's installer remembers the components I installed last time..

edit: I don't get this problem but I don't use wma or Windows XP CHN. What concerns me is that if this problem is caused by Case's installer then there may be more problems.

No, there were two exe builds labelled RC11, official site got the later (fixed) one, while Case left the first one on his own site. This is a temporary problem with RC11 and will be most likely corrected as soon as Case comes online.

I like the "speacial installer" from "Case".
And I would like to download "speacial installer" from "official site" if I can find it in "offical site".

ahahahah!!My poor English,  sadly.

I get the same window while trying to shutdown the system (WinXP SP1) and foobar is playing in the background (minimized to system tray).

The only difference is that it says "metadb_handle leaks, 1 objects".

Foobar2000 0.7 RC11 fresh install.

EDIT: Sorry, same subject on a different topic:

Please use the search button, that problem has been discussed numerous times.

if you have sub directories in there, try adding them one at a time until you hit the one that crashes it.  You probably have a corupt file or something.  Also you might try going into the preferences and restricting the files types to only mp3 wma ogg mpc etc, only the types of files you want foobar to open, it could be trying to open the jpegs or something.

Sounds like a problem specific to WMA files. Try adding MP3 files only and see if the problem persists.

I use another directory include 2644 .mp3 files to test, No Error.

But, I remember I have no errors as before when I use the old versions.

WMA support is provided through a third-party component; apparently there is some kind of bug in it, you should try contacting its author.
It would be helpful if you managed to isolate particular WMA files that cause the problem and upload them somewhere.
I can only ask Case to remove that component from his "big" setup.

done several tests,
it seems to happen on my comp as well (just occasionally)
when i load all my wma files (2k+ songs), nothing happens
all mp3 files (3k+), nothing happens
add directory (5k+), crashes once or twice occasionally

I think the prob is associated with foo_wma (had that feeling a long time ago whilst in RC11), but i don't really know what its, I've tried loading foobar in ollydbg to trace the prob, but the damn error never occur when i do so...

Anyway, there is one bug fix done to the code (a mem leak, forgot to delete a heap allocated..., so that solve the prob, not really sure, there might be other things)
