foobar2000 mobile / Songs in ALL albums streamed from media server are out of order.
Last post by calebst -I am experiencing this issue with FOOBAR 2000 and VLC, but I cannot find any helpful information on the internet so I figured I would start a thread here. This occurs with all albums viewed on any IOS device over the network. I am using the built in media sharing option on Windows 11. Any help would be appreciated.

MP3 - General / Re: Resurrecting/Preserving the Helix MP3 encoder
Last post by jaro1 -No fast-math, no AVX and there were no changes to the code since last clang version from @JoshuaChang afaik.
I was just unsure, which Clang version did Joshua used for his binary and if there would be a noticeable difference at all, if it was older..
Anyway, thanks for your reply!

Support - (fb2k) / Re: Foobar seems to ignore LFE channel.
Last post by mzso -Your output has always been stereo if Windows mixer says you have stereo speakers.I see. Well, I set it to 7.1 and now LFE is heard with all outputs. Weird to have so little control over this in Foobar, and even less ability to tell what is happening. IMO it's also strange that LFE is excluded from downmixing. Well, et least it made me realize some of my configuration needed changing.

Last post by jaro1 -Maybe GCC 14 has changed something. @KevinB52379 may check the binary compiled with MINGW/GCC 14.1.0 i attached.
Thank you for the binary, i suppose it is generic build without "fast math" code. I do not want to compare here apples with oranges, but after trying the latest generic flac binaries from NetRanger (GCC14.1 & Clang18.1.4), the Clang version gives me consistently faster results for files 16-24/44 against GCC14.1 (5-8% speedup with Intel 8.gen CPU). I do not want to speculate about the reason, as i didn't done that much tests with various builds, so maybe Clang is rather constant through different versions, while GCC14.1 slowed down the performance slightly because of more complex changes..?
Can you please compile a generic Clang 18.1.4 binary of hmp3 with latest source code changes as well?

Last post by Case -I added the extra info the official component displayed to the result dialog too (per-channel DR, RMS and peak).
And I did some improvements / fixes to the DR value calculation. Turns out the official component reverts to using highest peak when the second highest peak they tell you to use is too low. I saw this causing issues with short and very quiet test signals.
The result dialog also has the dark mode improvement marc2k3 mentioned.
