Naming mp3s so Winamp sorts them automatically?

Is it possible to name mp3 files so that if you were to select a bunch of them at once (from the same album) they would automatically be put in the proper order by Winamp? I usually name them "XX - song name.mp3" where the XX is the track number, but that doesn't work. I hate having to hand-sort them to create my m3u playlists.

Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Options > "Sort files on load"

Which is done by file name I think.

The normal adding of files is the order Windows gives them, which is usually by modified date, which can be set with a small utility:

in the Playlist > click Misc > Sort List > Sort List by Filename
