Any way to display whether my current DSP setting is playing mono or stereo?

The answer is probably no, I'm stumped anyway.

I go back and forth between having DSP manager set to 'downmix to mono' and unchecking it. Sometimes I forget I've accidentally left it on. I was hoping I could display whether or not it was on in the status bar or something. Like the name of the current preset that is active, something like that.
