foobar 0.9 wiki Support

Hi, I'm pretty new to these forums in general, and I am also a new user of foobar2000 and I am using the current release. There seems to be very little support for v 0.9 in the wiki tutorials. As a matter of fact, all the helpful links I found in that wiki linked off-site.

Even the wikis for 0.8 seem to be somewhat broken. The "Newbie Guide" and "Intermediate Guide" seem to be what the fellows over at Wikipedia would call "stubs", and the "Advanced Guide" leads to a completely blank wiki.

Just bringing this to someone's worthy attention.

I also am dissapointed in the foobar2000 wiki, especially in terms of hands-on user tutorial support. There is a link to an excellent foobar2000 manual under "External Guides" (Howard Rogers' Beginners' Configuration Guide). This manual was written for foobar2000 v0.8.3, however, and the only version available currently on the foobar2000 site is 0.9.1. My question is: as a complete newbie, am I better off trying to find an older version of foobar2000, or does Rogers' manual still apply to the current version (0.9.1)? Thanks in advance.

As I am also a newbie in the fb2k scene, I don't dare yet to contribute anything except perhaps to fix broken links.

This thread is very similar to this thread (i.e. info for fb2k beginners).

What I've been doing is when I learn something new, I'l update the wiki as I research topics. Newbies can make some of the best wiki contributers. So... do it!

That's generally how it works. The FB2K wiki covers a wide range of topics. I honestly don't think I am ever going to use the scripting language within it, with exception to a few basic things. Yes I was suprised to learn there were quite a few plugins "missing" from 0.8 -> 0.9. I can't use 0.9 on my machine, and I can't seem to find plugins like the advanced limiter anymore  . The channel mixer comes in handy though.
