Well, they've done it. There is now an audioscrobbler plugin available for foobar2000. It's available here

Please use the foobar forum for foobar related stuff; I don't really think this belongs in the news section.

Moved.

Bug: crashes on closing with empty playlist/not filled in user info

Doesn't seem to like proxies either.

Great plugin - love audioscrobbler.  But I have a problem.

The Audioscrobbler site is currently down, and the plugin should be caching the info until the site comes back up.  Instead it just crashes FB2K.

See the audioscrobbler website.

Audioscrobbler stores the artist/title of every song you play in a central database on the web, and allows you to compare your musical tastes with other peoples.  You can see which people share the same taste as you, and then check out which other bands they listen to.  It's actually a pretty cool thing and has a helluva lot of potential.
