I've been using flac and ape to backup my cd collection.  I know that it is possible to create bat or batch files to make decompression of say a folder containing all the flac files for one album a one-step process.  But after extensive searching, I can't find a basic guide on how to create a batch file for ape or flac decompression, a link to a basic batch file that would do this, a simple program that creates them for you, nothing.  I can't believe there is no documentation on this.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  I just want to be able to create a batch file for any album whether it is in flac or ape format, and preferrably one that can test and verify each file before converting to a wav.  Any help I would greatly appreciated.

Is there any reason you need to convert them to WAV? If it's for burning most burning software will cope with formats like FLAC and decode them themselves.

I think you should do a better search. In Google "batch flac wav" gives me 165,000 hits, so I think there will be solutions for your problem. Is it necessary to use batch files per se ?  Can't you use foobar or a converter of some kind.?

I want to be able to transfer the files to another computer and not have to install a bunch of software on the other computer to burn a cd.  And just for archiving reasons it makes more sense to simplify the process to me.  I can google peanut butter and jelly and get 8 million hits in porn alone, the problem is that none of them are useful.  I was just asking for a seemingly simple solution to this, and I'll go a step further and say that maybe there should be a stickied thread on how to do this, since I think other people might want to do the same thing.  If anybody has any actual info on this I would be grateful.
