foobar2000 starts playing randomly when earbuds connected to Windows 10

Hello, I'm using Bose QuietComfort bluetooth earbuds with Windows 10 and when they are connected and there is a foobar2000 window open in the background with audio paused, the audio will just start playing randomly every few minutes.

In Settings -> Advanced -> Tools I have "Process browse key events" and "Process system media key events" unchecked.

Basically, when foobar2000 is paused, it should not just start randomly playing.  I don't know how to prevent this from happening.

Hi there,

It might be related to 'Windows 10 Universal Volume Control' (under Preferences >Advanced > Display > Integrate with ...) - you could try disabling that, too.

Do these earbuds have that feature that automatically pauses playback when you take them off? Perhaps that is playing up and you can possibly turn that off... (In an app?) Or perhaps something is touching the sensors causing them to play/pause.

This new fandangled technology, huh ... ;)

Cheers
