It's obvious that the composers of these tracks put a lot of care into panning the sounds and that is an integral part of each track.  Just like listening to a stereo audio file in mono is not the way it's meant to be experienced.

libsidplayfp does not support splitting individual channels of a single SID chip into separate speakers.

Sorry, if you want to use a SID emulator from 16 years ago, be my guest.

If it means hearing the track the way it was meant to be heard then I will gladly use a 16 year old emulator.  I take it you have no plans to support the HVSC then?

Not sure what file info you're looking at, but it is without a doubt stereo.  When dragging and dropping the file into sidplay2w without any metadata or context it plays in stereo.  See attachments.  The same is true for everything by Kjell Nordboe and many other composers in the HVSC.

Well there's no such thing as window.Tooltip. It won't throw errors because window is a global object so you'll end up with an undefined variable meaning you can't do anything with it.

Removing all that code means no tooltips but obviously they're not even close to being required if the button text/icons are clear.

Great news! I found a new way to break your stuff. :D
:D

Is there a better way to achieve this sort of thing?
Thanks for reporting the issue. Of course it shouldn't crash, but you should get an error message in such a case. You can probably make it working by adding the pseudo column "metadb_handle" to the select clause for the view.
I have a feature request as well. I'd like to have the option to hide the Refresh all action from out of the context menu.
This is a quite reasonable request. Actually I'm not really happy anymore with that option. The possibility to hide it will be added to the next version and will be the default.
I was wondering if I could get help with a query to get all albums (on a per album basis) where the ADDED_TIMESTAMP tag is different.
It's not tested, but if you add %added_timestamp%, similar to the default column %album artist%, to the media library table in the preferences, you should get the desired result with the following query:
Code: [Select]
SELECT "%album artist%",album
FROM MediaLibrary
WHERE ("%album artist%",album) IN
      (SELECT "%album artist%",album
       FROM MediaLibrary
       GROUP BY "%album artist%",album
       HAVING count(distinct "%added_timestamp%")>1)
