YouTube component: Do artists get payed?

I recently found this component https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_youtube
It makes you stream YouTube songs in Foobar.

Now I wonder, when I listen to music with this, does it count as a klick like I would watch the actual Video and does the artist get payed like if I'd normally watch it on Youtube with ads or so?

I doubt people care, since there is no adblockers with Youtube apps on Android TV boxes anyway.

There's a YouTube Android app mod called YouTube Vanced that blocks ads and unlocks other Premium features. I use it and it works great.
