[Plugin request] Extra stereo effect

Hello!

I'm not a programmer so am unable to do that but maybe there is someone with knowledge and a little spare time?

There is no any advanced math involved in this because it's time domain effect, just converting Stereo channels to MID/SIDE pseudo channels, adding volume knobs to MID/SIDE pseudo channels and converting everything back to Stereo after volume processing.

What do you think guys? Thanks for any reply.

The freeware Voxengo MSED VST plugin will do exactly that, but you'll need to setup FB2K to use VST plugins and it's not so simple. I'm hoping for native VST support in 2022!

And here we go, someone (h1data@github ) has made stereo expander called "Stereo width" (foo_dsp_width), you can download it here:
https://github.com/h1data/foo_dsp_width/releases

It works with fb2k <v2.0 also (there are 32b and 64b versions on github) and without any additional plugins required (like VST, etc.). It's a regular fb2k dsp effect) so just extract it to your .../foobar2000/components folder.

You can expand and narrow stereo with it.

Thanks for the heads-up.  Have you tried, and if so can you compare it to, the free "Wider" VST plugin by Polyverse?  I am using the version 1.1.3 in VST3; the 64-bit VST3 can be used in either the 32 or 64-bit Foobar host if the OS is 64-bit.  Works beautifully here with both Foobar 1.6.17 and 2.1.  You need to supply a valid email address to receive the free download link/registration for the new Version 2.0:
https://polyversemusic.com/products/wider/

The older 64-bit only VST2/3 version 1.1.3 is available free without email or registration at the link here:
https://polyversemusic.com/downloads/legacy/InfectedMushroom-Wider-V1.1.3.zip

The 32/64 bit VST2 version 1.0 is available without email or registration here:
