A few songs in my library that play silence.

Hello,

I have two songs in my library that are silent when I play them, (the playback bar moves, but there is no sound) everything else is fine.

I have successfully played these songs without problems on Audacity.
I have tried both the portable and full installation of Foobar2000.

I'm not sure if this will help in any way, but I noticed these two were the only songs in my library that have <ENCODED> by MediaMonkey 3.2.0 in the PROPERTIES.

Prior to reformatting my computer, these songs worked fine on Foobar2000. Perhaps somethings wrong with the new Foobar2000?

Thanks!

Are these flac files?

If so, decoding them and encode to flac again with proper tag settings might solve the problem.

Yes these were flac files, sorry for not mentioning earlier.

I've found the problem!

After further tampering with the settings, I found that setting Source mode and Processing to none (in ReplayGain) fixes the problem.
Can someone explain why this is?

Just a guess, but it sounds like the Replay Gain tags are messed up and enabling Replay Gain causes the volume to be very low.
