Foobar panels crashed after Win11 24H2 update.. :(

Dear foobar Users,

I have been using fb2k with a modded Xch4nge skin for 10 years without any problems. (x86 version ofcourse.)
But now, after Win11 update from 23H2 to 24H2, fb2k starting with 3 error messages, and not works the Top Toolbar panel, Bottom Toolbar Panel, and the Now Playing Panel..
I thought that the problem maybe the fonts, and I reinstalled (fontawesome-webfont.ttf, Guifx v2 Transports.ttf, uni05_53.ttf, digital.ttf) the special fonts of the skin, but this is not solved..

Could you help me what's the problem?

(In the attached picture, I have also shown a save of the previous error-free state and also of the current error state with the error messages.)

The file is in the roaming folder of foobar. Typically %APPDATA%\foobar2000-v2\console.log

I've no console.log file in the AppData\Roaming\foobar2000-v2\ folder.
I seached in the foobar advanced menu and switched on debugging options, but console.log not appeared..  ::)

WSHpanel is very out-dated.
You could try using Jsplitter which in theory also runs WSH scripts (and is also x64 compatible) and see if that makes a difference?

Try creating a View>layout>scratchbox with a Jsplitter panel.
Paste the existing WSH panel script(s) and if it renders, replace the problem panels with the scratchbox.

Weirdly enough my console.log file has not been updated anymore since the end of september.
You can open a console panel in foobar to see the errors though

Go to preferences (CTRL-P) and define a keyboard shortcut for it. See attachment.
Then open the console with CTRL-L and see the errors.

BTW. I'm running 5 different native WSH Panels (foo_uie_wsh_panel_mod 1.5.10) myself (which are mostly hidden unless I feel nostalgic).

That is not the original WSH panel mod. I can see that from the popup message dialogs and the use of utils.GetHWND which certainly does not exist in the original or any derivative that I know of.

So yes, the original WSH panel mod works fine in windows 11. This mod of the mod does not. You'll probably have to forget this particular theme/component.

OK, the solution was easy, just a registry settings below, Win11 restart and foobar2000 works like a charm with old WSH scripts under 24H2!  :))  :))  :))

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"JScriptReplacement"=dword:00000000

Hi,
I've been using br3tt's great skins for fb2k and modded so much as well.
The day before yesterday the same thing happened but nothing I could do, then after I reached here at the end of the day.
Now I'm drinking beer with my friends.

This will probably affect other JS components relying on IE, not only WSH. And obviously any component requiring IE is going to die sooner or later anyway, on future win 11 updates.
