Can anyone recommend one? I would prefer a plugin usable with any player. An AAC capable player with this functionality would also be fine (not Neutron!). Most important is the crossfeed's quality.
Doesnt Rockbox run on Android as a program? If you compile it with the original crossfeed patch (http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/11577) it's very similar to xnor's crossfeed.
Rockbox runs well on Android now, but forget about almost all the plug-ins for the moment. You do get all the (by now) essentials like bookmarking, sleep timer, pause/resume on headphone disconnect etc. It has a crossfeed built in but the Meier crossfeed as referenced by markanini is definitely superior to the stock. You can get a Meier patched version for Android based on 3.10, the last stable release, see http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=64167 (http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=64167)
p.s. the patch linked by markanini is redundant now, see http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/11767 (http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/11767) for most recent.
Yeah if nothing else, rockbox for Android is coming along nicely. I wouldn't say its 100% ready yet though, and for that reason we haven't put it on the market just yet. The UI in particular still needs some work adapting to how Android works.
Excellent advice, thank you all! I was about to give up the search. The meier patch sounds very interesting, I hope it gets included soon.
What do you expect how long it will take, until a signed Android 4 apk is going to be released?
DSPManager has a crossfeed setting. It's not as convincing as the (erroneously) deprecated crossfeed patch for Rockbox though.
