Portable installation issues (foobar2000 v1.4)

Hi, here is a couple of problems I encountered recently. foobar2000 v1.4 [portable] on Windows 10 1803 x64.

1. If there is an instance of player launched in one user's session, cannot run it in different user session on this pc. An error appears: "Cannot start, another foobar2000 instance appears to be running with the same configuration data".

2. Cannot set file association permanently. Double-click on mp3 always brings up app-selection menu, despite previously already been set.

So, foobar2000 works as it should.

Whatever. I have a lot of portable apps that work in a different way, at least with file associations.

Same configuration can't be used by multiple instances as that would lead into data loss / state mismatch.

As for your associations, have you perhaps changed the directory you use for foobar2000? If registry has incorrect information about file paths associations won't work properly.

Installing the non-portable version should fix all the mismatches in the registry.

It was fresh-installed (not in program files, but I didn't change directory). Probably program blocking any changes to system, even file  icons.

Yes, probably would do that.
