How to show realtime VBR of FLAC file

I like how foobar2000 shows the bitrate of VBR mp3s:  If the track is playing, it updates the bitrate display each second (or any arbitrary amount of time), if the track is not playing foobar2000 displays the average bitrate of the file.

Is there any way to have foobar2000 display the bitrate of FLAC files in this way?  I have never used Winamp but I think I heard that Winamp displays the bitrate in this way, but I want to keep using foobar2000.

I'm using the latest version of foobar2000 if that makes any difference

Sorry to bump this thread, but I'd like to pick up werdwerdus' question. Would be nice to see where "all the bits go" in a song.

Can anyone comment on how difficult it would be to implement this in foobar2k?

As far as I understand, using %bitrate% in the statusbar does exactly this, at the moment.

Major bump! If you wrap a FLAC file into a Matroska container, foobar2000 will dynamically update the bitrate during playback.

Ultra major bump!: But natively is it not possible up to the date to display VBR of FLAC formats?

It is possible in Winamp.
