Free Training Management System

Does anyone know of any sort of software where my company can manage employees who go on training?

We are the learning part of the company, and provide training for of the employees within it. We must record who goes on which course, send out reminders etc.

At the moment, we use a MS Access database, but we would like the facility to let employees book theirselves onto courses too.
