DVD book type

A quick question: My plextools allows me to change the DVD+R and dual layer book type to DVD-ROM for increased compatibility. For single layer discs this option is not enabled by default, only for dual layer it is.

As i understand it there is no harm in enabling this option as all dvd players would play DVD-ROM. Is this true? Is there really no reason not to have this enabled?

Always change the booktype to DVD-ROM wherever possible, it can only increase compatibility, never decrease.
