"Could not connect to host" Error

I get this message "Could not connect to host" pretty much whenever Foobar is trying to directly connect to the internet. I get it when trying to get album info for ripping, when trying to set up a rip, and also, I cannot calibrate the optical drive for offset since this happened. I have un-installed and re-installed foobar 2000 and the same thing happened. And YES, I am connected to the internet and confrimed this by browseing and doing album info lookups with other media software. HELP Please.

Completely random guess: perhaps your firewall is blocking foobar.
