Problem: console 248 line limit

Is there any workaround (hidden setting) for the 248 line limit for the console? I would like to track more actions. 248 lines is too restrictive for my needs.

UPDATE

I found a workaround to this limit. Checking the box "Write Log" produces a text file that is unencumbered by the limit I encountered within the Console window.
