Message to Marc2k3:

I am deeply sorry that you have been forced to close the maintenance of your component.
I have 50% of my interface based on it. So I was very concerned about your decision.
I would love you to seriously rethink a return and continue to provide us with your great work.
However whatever you decide I thank you for all your work that many users have enjoyed.

Hi Mark
I am saddened by the decision you have taken, there are many users who have enjoyed and benefited from your great work and having a custom Foobar with your components. I hope you can reconsider your decision and continue again.
Anyway whatever decision you make, thank you very much.

I'm really sorry to see you go from the project. Thank you so much for all the fantastic components you've created and for always being there to help, even with the simplest questions. Your guidance has been invaluable, and I truly appreciate everything you've done. Best of luck in your next chapter!

I don't think that "forced" has anything to do with it.  Anyone who has followed his comments on these forums is aware of his often petulant eccentricities and behavior towards users.  That said, he is also a coding genius and his skills here that have provided so many diverse options for Foobar will be missed.

Thanks for bringing some sanity to the forum.

I'm pretty astonished seeing how many insults are allowed in this forum depending on the lines of code you have written (which goes against TOS 2). And someone getting praise despite that behavior makes zero sense to me. Where we set the bar? 100 lines of code gives you a free ticket to insult people? That looks to me like people have to pay with their sanity for a component.

Maybe we can change the pov, and the rest of the forum should not be forced to read passive-aggressive comments and insults every 2 days by someone with clearly toxic dynamics, no matter if its a dev, a genius or your father. And that has nothing to do with developing a component, being forced to close maintenance or not receiving gratitude.

Really hope people get that point and separate software development, ignoring forum TOS or needing to handle their aggressiveness, whether in therapy or by other means. (And any of this doesn't invalidate we may be grateful to that same person)

👍👍

Whether you are an experienced developer or a simple user, no one can claim the right to exceed the limits that are supposed to be clear and applied on the forum.

Who said that common sense was the most shared thing in the world?
Obviously this is not the case. If everyone was able to question themselves without insulting the other, things would perhaps be different.

Man appeared more than a million years ago and this million years is still not enough for him.
How many more will it take?

@Marc2k3
Apologies...
Thank you for wanting and trying to help me with WilB's JScript Biography, I mean it!
And... sometimes you are/were quite (totally unnecessary) rude to users and forum members, just my 2 cents...
Will not update foobar or any other components.
I want a pure music player, only for music flac, wav, sacd, dsd, etc.
I don't care at all about bells and whistles, colorful rainbow lyric texts, spinning disks or other flashy circus tricks in any of my media players.
foobar 2.1.6 (x86) DarkOne 4 (build20140207) theme works perfectly. (Thanks regor for WilB Biography 1.4.2.1 mod.)
Nowadays I download images manually for new music, artists and bands, update existing images, and put them into WilB's Biography folders.
I'm a happy camper.
What is the opposite of music? ~ Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.

Hi! No work with JSP 3.8.4

you have to copy/paste the // ==PREPROCESSOR== code in the main panel and put the coverflow.js file within the "%fb2k_component_path%samples\smooth\" directory.
It seems you did copy the content of the coverflow.js file into the panel.
yet, i didnt get to make it work either.

mark obnoxious way of replying and bashing users is no excuse for his prodiving this open-source component.
Lucky for me I can do without it.
I used it for a "Spinny Album Art Nonsense" which is just for beauty and I will find a way to add "Top Tracks" to Spider Monkey Panel.
Spider Monkey Panel with its plugins is far more advanced and I don't need 64-bit for music
Thank you @marc2k3 for your component but remember that "Karma is a bitch" and people don't like being bullied thus they reply back to you.

Gabriel, have you (or anyone else) tried the new 64-bit conversion of SMP by oops??  Sort of hard to find as it's posted in the Georgia ReBORN script/skin's thread here:  https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,121047.msg1055108.html#msg1055108 .  You could try it out in a portable install of the 64-bit Foobar 2.24 as a user already familiar with SMP (which I am not).  Maybe you could convert to a 64-bit Foobar after all.

Or, have you tried to see if the foo_uie_jsplitter 64-bit plugin (https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,126743.0.html) is able to support all of your current SMP plugins?

I don't have any plans of moving to 64-bit any time in the near future.
I am using Panel Stack Splitter (foo_uie_panel_splitter) which was not updated for a long time now and I don't think anyone will ever update it to 64-bit.
I am just dumping the last 2 panel I and using JScript Panel 3 with.
