Internet Radio crashes all the time V2.1

As the Subject already says, every time I select View > Internet Radio from the menu, the player crashes. I don't even get to the station select/search part. Manually adding radio streams to a playlist and everything else works fine. I have foobar2000 2.1 preview 2023-08-01 installed with no additional plug-ins or components. I used the Internet Radio feature before and it worked fine, but I don't recall which release it was. I have attached the crash report and already sent it via foobar too. Any suggestions what may be the cause or what to do? I really like the new radio feature and want to use it as I did before.

*edit* I also noticed that it now takes much longer than before for a radio stream to load/buffer. I tried completely un- and reinstalling the software with no effect.

Did you remove configuration folder (C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000-v2) when uninstalling?
Playlist remains.

close foobar.
remove radio-browser-cache folder and radio.sqlite file.
start foobar.

You are my hero, deleting radio-browser-cache and radio.sqlite did the trick. Thank you very much! But I still wonder what caused the issue in the first place.

You can clear the radio-browser-cache at any time easily using this *.bat file;  change the directory path to match yours:
Code: [Select]
@ECHO OFF

Set dir="C:\foobar2000-x64_v2.1\profile\radio-browser-cache"

Echo Deleting all files from %dir%
del %dir%\* /F /Q
@echo Files deleted.

exit
I wouldn't recommend deleting radio.sqlite if you have made static playlists from radio URL's or use External Tags with those.

Thanks for your effort sharing this .bat file, but I can easily delete these files manually if necessary. Still wondering what caused the player to crash respectively the radio cache being messed up.

Same issue here. The resolution was to disable the Milkdrop visualization component.
