How to retrieve data from corrupted .fpl file?

Hi, my hard drive broke and data recovery didn't find any music, it did find one .fpl file though, however it's corrupted. If I'm not mistaken it should contain metadata of music files that were in my playlist, so I'd at least know what I'm missing. Is there any way I can retrieve at least a part of that metadata? When I open it in Notepad it's all Chinese signs and Foobar is not able to open it due to "Unsupported format or corrupted file".
