foobar2000 for iPhone doesn't support multichannel?

Hi all,
  My iPhone plays multichannel audio when playing video on the Apple TV app, so the hardware isn't the problem. When I use the foobar server on my Windows PC and play multichannel audio files on my iPhone connected to HDMI over lightning, I just get stereo. The logs show that the files are 6-channel. This has to be a limitation of the app since video files play 5.1 just fine. Is there support coming to handle this?
