Bug: Writes tags to files even if prefs say not to

I have prefs->database "Don't write modified tags to files" checked.  When replaygain-scanning tracks from a CD-R, the console pops up with "WARNING (CORE) : Verboten!" after scanning each album, presumably from trying to write the tags to the read-only files.

And where's the bug?

The "verboten" comes from "don't write modified tags" being checked, not from files being read-only; please at least take the effort to do some basic verification before reporting.

Wrong. You get this message every single time when metadata for a file is changed and tag writing is disabled. The player does not try to write anything there.
