Thanks, there is a beginning for all

Here is a third one which is my best attempt i think, and my last one made with  Gimp :

(x3) 8 bp, 1-bit alpha,256-slot palette
and
(x3) 32 bpp, 8-bit alpha, no palette.

I think the last one TAK3.ico is a bit to dark for my taste. So I think I will use gaekwad2

Question: What did you exactly to create this icons? which programms and what did you do one by one?

We've done them with Gimp,
and i personally think that gaekwad2 icon is better than mine.
but i'd prefer another blue..

OOOps, I think you' ve got me wrong. I wanted to know what the best method to create a new icon. I tried myself but it's really difficult for me.

I used the Gimp as well (and icon sushi), but I only modified and combined existing parts.

If you want to make new icons from scratch a vector program (eg. Inkscape) would be more suitable.

Why does your icon looks so much darker on my PC

The icon looks darker than the screenshot? Or the other way around?

Could be some gamma or colour profile problem but I've got no idea how to fix it.
