MusicBrainz error

I am just ripping some CDs with foobar200 for the first time as the freedb service is excellent.

I do not want to use MusicBrainz at all, but I keep on getting the error box attached. How can I exorcise MusicBrainz?

Cheers

Just change it the next time you burn a disc  Musibrainz is actually is better then freedb  in many many ways the problem is foobars implementation of it and how it scans for content is extremely poor  as it rarely finds anything that why I personally use http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_musicbrainz
and manually tag  by looking up the album i want by inputting the MBID of the album into the tagger
https://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_Identifier
Example album and where to find id

really wish peter could fix i the native version so it wouldn't spit back content errors its on my wish-list next version because MB really is  better IMHO

MJmusicguy,

Thanks for all the info and links. I'll check MusicBrainz more thoroughly as I find freedb excellent. It's only failed to find one CD.

I would have liked to upload the info after I entered it manually, but there did not seem to be a way of doing so.

Have a great weekend,

Yeah FreeDB is ok in a pinch but it is not very originated and i often have to sort through many duplicate or incorrect entries to get what i want so my go to is always musicbrainz via the tagger and i use  FreeDB  for some obscure titles

yeah No problem

install the tagger
open the cd as is
select all files in playlist ctrl A

search for album and get MBID from the website
https://musicbrainz.org
plug the id into the tagger and the information will download

the results will be better

hope I am helpful ?
