You might be able to do something like you want using my playlist tree plugin.  My plugin allows you to build playlists by dragging and dropping files and other playlists.  Once you have built a playlist, you can use the "Send To Device" function available when you right click on a folder.  The location of the device is a configurable variable in the preferences.  I use it to build up playlists and then send all of its files to my mp3 player which shows up as F:\

It's basically in a constant beta release, but its fairly stable.
