there is photo 1, then photo 20, photo 19, photo 18.

If "alphabetical order" is ON, the array of images is sorted alphabetically by filename.

And the question is, do your image files have the same extensions.?

Thanks for sharing the files.

You can do what Porcus said above, it will work, but I think running your files through
mp3packer is better because they have some errors and mp3packer will fix them.

It is kinda hard to find mp3packer online so I will attach both executables below.
All you have to do is drag your MP3 files on mp3packer executable and it will work just fine.
If you already have lots of files you can write a very simple batch script to fully automate it.

If you in foobar2000 instead right-click, Utilities -> Fix VBR MP3 header...
then it will show a length of 0:03.567 (157 295 samples).

Don't be surprised if a VBR header says something wrong about a file that isn't even VBR ;-)

Confirmed, thanks for reporting.

Cause was that updated APE tag reader would refuse to read APE tag blobs with nothing before the tag, after working around another issue. Fixed for beta 6.

Thanks. After a bit more tweaking of levels, crossovers and phase settings I have arrived at the RoomEQ setup shown in the screenshot below. Presumably it is best to try to keep the lowering of the slider to a minimum (to maximise SNR)? Not quite sure what the best compromise is as, if RoomEQ is set to normal resolution, the slider can generally be set much higher. Presumably this compromise of SNR vs response flatness, is really down to personal preference and audio hardware capabilities? Reckon will spend the weekend playing with settings and see what I prefer. Many thanks for all of your help.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

I've now updated to Foobar 1.6.7 and rebuilt the MP3 stream, as-per..

But the problem persists.

I attach a 3 second sample, (x 2, before and after Rebuilding). They both think they are 1 hour 57 in Foobar and show as 3 seconds in vlc.

I'm OK using the command line if someone tells me what to type!

Skip Track component is a newer alternative. Saves bookmark positions to database (not writing to tags) and updates automatically. Can also add a %bookmark% column to playlist.

First, can you please update your foobar2000 to newer version? 1.4.6 is pretty old now.

There are couple of different solutions. The easiest one to try is this:
1. Drag all of your MP3 files into foobar2000.
2. Right click on them and choose "Rebuild MP3 stream"

If that doesn't work, we can fix it using mp3packer/ffmpeg, but that involves using command line.
That could be a little complicated for you. So can you please try the method above first?

Also, it would be really nice if you could upload short problematic sample here. (Up to 30 seconds.)

the scroll still works in the wrong direction - there is photo 1, then photo 20, photo 19, photo 18. When you reboot, not the first photo is loaded, which is inconvenient, I would like to always start first

The correct phase setting can improve the "unprocessed" frequency response near the cut-off frequency, so you may want to make a few measurements with different phase settings and choose the phase setting which corresponds to the best "unprocessed" frequency response.
