Problem with foobar2000 0.9

I've been using Foobar200 0.83 with itunesencode and itunes 6 for a while with no problems using diskwriter. All files played on my ipod shuffle. After upgrading foobar2000 and using converter with the same input string as with diskwriter the files produced didn't play on ipod shuffle. The audio part of the m4a files was the same the difference was in the tags i discovered that coping the "ITUNNORM = ######" from a foobar 0.83 encoded file to a foobar 0.9 one made it play. Is there any way to make it work with foobar2000 0.9?

Thanks for your help:)

EDIT:
It seems that the problem is bigger. Amarok (a linux program) also deletes this tag and produces unusable files, copying it back does not fix them. Even readding the tag via iTunes (by eneablig and disabling "Sound Check" in iTunes (not iPod)) does not help.

anyone pls, give me at least some hint!

eh btw i figured out that these files do play but they start after about 3-5min  and ipod shuffle gets warm
