No, it's not a padding issue because I add 32KB (overkill) of padding and the tags are changed instantaneously with Tag.
However with foobar it takes ages and there's lot of HD activity, so it seeems it rewrites the entire file.
You wouldn't have the id3v2 plug loaded would you...seems that an earlier version may make excess temp files.
yes, I had the Id3v2, unloading it solved the problem, weird.
If you get the newest version (still .666) ...the problem is gone btw
