foobar2000_sdk.lib(string.obj) : LNK2011 when compiling.

Good evening people, I just started of my very first foobar2000 plugin yesterday. However I was not satisfied in seeing how the SDK was distributed.
It didn't really fit with my usual lib, include hierarchy so I recompiled it into a single library file and restructured the headers hierarchy.

Now since I've tampered with it I do realize that I will probably only get replies saying 'this is not how it's supposed to be used' or similar. But the thing is that it with the official suggestions as well.

I get the error described in the title, the first error was LNK4098 describing that my linking model was inconsistent with the module foobar2000_sdk.lib was compiled with. Although it isn't.

Don't. Really, don't.

Also, you have not cited the exact error message, which would contain interesting tidbits like what is actually missing.
Stay sane, exile.
