SoX downconversion

I'm including all this just in case anyone is interested in trying the comparisons--definitely not asking anyone to waste time going over all this.
No claims of validity or reliability are being made here--all of that could ONLY occur under controlled laboratory conditions. The following is just doing what's possible in forum format online.

The original source file for conversion (saving space here) is available online at http://www.naimlabel.com/musicstore-test-files.aspx z
The original file would be the very last line on this page, the Classical in WAV, 192/24
I used it renamed as Beeth_192.wav

SoX was downloaded from Sourceforge, command line used was adapted from an example here: http://smyck.net/2014/01/18/resampling-con...ng-audio-files/

sox Beeth_192.wav -b 16 Beeth_44.wav rate -v -s 44100  (with my own filenames, of course)

Further SoX recipes welcome.
