General - (fb2k) / fine tuning hires internet radio

I came across some hires internet radio station.

while playing, it's generally very stable, but very intermittently i get dropouts and see the following errors in the console log.

therefore i guess that there may be times of network slowness compounded by the high bitrate required for hires streams (in this case 96ksps FLAC streams)

i did the following fine tuning  (increased read-ahead further from 2048kB to 3072kB)

I am now monitoring to see if the situation improves.

Question I have --  are there any other areas that I can check or able to tweak for hires internet radio?

I looked at the sources, the actual midi file indeed is loaded by foobar2000 so your chinese characters are absolutely not a problem. But what happens next can be, there are ansi character set temp files used depending on your midi component settings and plenty of other places where paths are passed, all depending on configuration. If you shared the error you got it should be easy for pgyt to know what needs improving.

These are the only error messages. No more information is displayed in the console. It seems that the output is cut off, not that I don't show it.

I usually modify a property manually in this window, to add a lot of custom tags at once. If I can still do it afterwards, that's fine with me. I did a test with the World Map package and it worked.

It looks easier to install a package.
I see that the folder js_data is still there, with the settings you can make in it.
And if it simplifies things for you, that's great.
I figured that would be a lot of functionality in one place, but it organizes things that already exist differently.

At one point, I modified the descriptor file to use a completely different graph, with Search by Distance. I also made modifications to use two graphs with two buttons. I don't do it anymore, but it was something interesting, maybe I'll do it again one day. I suppose I'll still be able to make manual changes, but it will be in the folder profile\foo_uie_jsplitter\packages\... (portable installation) ? In that case, it doesn't matter if there are manual changes to be made with each update.
I haven't made any changes to size, position or color since you added settings a long time ago.

General - (fb2k) / How to install x86 version of foobar2000 using Winget?

I have a machine with foobar2000 x86 installed.
If I check for updates using "winget upgrade", I see:

If I send: "winget upgrade PeterPawlowski.foobar2000", it attempts to install a fresh copy of foobar2000 x64.
Is there any way to specify the x86 version?

Sincere thanks Case for this update and the addition of the 64bit versions. As embarrassing as it may sound now.. I understand that you ultimately judged the point of this update yourself, but my question was not intended to “kick” you into it in any way. Because the speed of this update took me “by surprise” in a good way. Due to my busy schedule, I was unable to respond sooner.

And not to have enough impudence on my part, I'm adding a feature request for any of the FEP future releases.. It's about adding the Helix mp3 encoder in the stable versions to this pack. Of course if it meets your criteria and there would be interest from other users.
I'll leave aside the debate of prioritizing Lame against Helix based on objective/subjective quality in specific audio parameters, although I have my own opinion on the subject, and there has been quite a bit of that described here and there on HA as well. I will diplomatically state that I have failed to reach the stage of favoring the Lame over the Helix based on subjective judgement of audio quality of the music I usually listen to.
For me personally, the Helix MP3, which you and Maikmerten have brought up to the current state, is the only lossy encoder I use for a number of reasons. Hence the idea of taking advantage of the convenience that FEP offers and having the option to install the Helix just within that package. Thanks for considering.

General - (fb2k) / Need help with a couple of things

I'm new in foobar, i have some things that i can't figure out:

1. The majority of my albums appear ordered by year but some others don't



2. How can i do to have access to the album artwork? clicking in the image leads to a viewer but only the cover is displayed

3. To see the albums i have to double click the artist and the first song start to play, how to navigate the artists without playing the music?

4. How to put the seekbar at the bottom?
