Plextor AudioFS

I was wondering if there is a drawback using Plextor's AudioFS that makes audio looks like wav files and using that to rip with Lame (RazorLame)? With FSAudio enable, does that mean I don't need to rip to wav?

I have the Plextor UltraPlex 32x (scsi) which is on my old PC.
