Well this is sad.

foo_youtube doesn't do anything for me, because it can't play local files.

Preferences/Tools/Youtube Source/Decoding.  Under Video, make sure "Process only tracks processed by the component" is unchecked.

It does work! How did I miss this? Thank you, this changes everything.

First of all, thank you for your hard work on foo_video. I understand if you don't want to develop it anymore, but when I tested foo_youtube, it seems that certain features are not present in foo_youtube. (such as the popup window staying the same size and location). It also crashed several times when I tried to play local video files. So I think I will continue to use your plugin, which has been very stable and contains all the features I need. Thank you!

[Fix] VSFilter is working. (I hadn't noticed until now.)
VSFilter automatically integrates subtitles into the video player.

foobar2000 is 32bit Software.
Hello,
I've used foo_video VSFilter  and madVR to play videos.
But VSFilter is unable to load subtitles into the video player automatically.
What's wrong with my settings? Can you help me?

@q269800598
Were you loaded VSFilter when playing videos?
If you didn't loaded it, you should install VSFilter (32bit).
If not, it is likely to be in VSFilter's specification.

@CrowRabbit
I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't being clear.
I've installed and loaded VSFilter successfully, but VSFilter didn't loaded subtitles automatically. I can load subtitles manually with VSFilter.
If VSFilter can load subtitles automatically, that's great.
Video files and subtitle files have the same name, can I load subtitles automatically when I play a video?

I don't see how to load srt.
I've installed vsfilter.
I changed the name of the srt to the name of the video file.

Just a reminder with
Local Video Player (foo_video)
download link (v. 0.5.0.2):

and

And the fact you need to go to Preferences>Tools>Chimera>
and add file extensions to work with the plugin to show any video
(it doesn't work automatically for all video files, at least on my side).
Works flawlessly so far, with tons of components loaded. Great job.

I know no one uses that component since F2K 1.4 and foo_youtube or foo_mpv came out (which even the oldest version is only compatible with 1.4 and up), but here I'm still using it on the F2K 1.3 version.
