Nero AAC encoder: SSE version not working on an Athlon 64 X2

I just downloaded version 1.1.34.2 and neroAacEnc_SSE.exe doesn’t run on my new system (AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ EE, 32-bit Windows XP). The following error message is shown:
Quote
Fatal Error: This program was not built to run on the processor in your system.
Which SSE version does the processor have to support?
FLAC.

This file was compiled with Intel C++ Compiler. So your processor must be made by Intel.
There's also programs like ICCPatch that can enable this program on Athlons, but I didn't notice any difference in performance between neroAacEnc and patched neroAacEnc_SSE.

It's probably best to use the non-SSE version anyway.  See this thread.

Thanks for the responses, I’ll use the non-SSE version then.
