So, here it is: http://lyrics.mirkforce.net/files/foo_lyricsdb_007_beta0.zip: works only under foobar2k version 0.9 and above.

You may also need msvcr80.dll and msvcp80.dll to run this plugin.

Can't remmember any changes since secod 0.0.6 beta, just ported to the new SDK.

I have this failure message...
Code: [Select]
Failed to load DLL: foo_lyricsdb.dll
Reason: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I am using foobar 0.9.1 with latest ui columns 0.1.3beta1v3.

Is it because of the MiniLyrics that I installed?

Got the same errormessage here.
First tried it with my installed 0.9, then updated to 0.9.1, deleted all former settings, but still same errormessage.
Copied the two dll's to the system32-folder and also to the foobar2000 programme-folder. But still same errormessage.
I've neither installed minilyrics nor columnsui.

strange thing.
The plugin was tested by five or six different people, and nobody experienced that problem. I am trying to get same error now, but can't, it'll be nice if someone will describe details, 'cause i just have no idea what else to do to get it.

It works for me, with foobar 0.9 and many other components installed.

I didnt install any of the supplied msvc*.dll, I already had them installed I guess (not in foobar dir but in windows system).

Now what can we use to display the lyrics? Just the track info panel?

Same problem to me. Just launch Foobar and the error window pops up. The error message is in my Windows localized version language.
I tried to copy the two dlls both in Foobar and in System32 directory, with no success.

I suppose this won't help you that much, but I just wanted to notify you another user experiences the problem and is available for investigation.

nice... I changed my 0.9 to 0.9.1, killed all my configuration, tryed several installations, and same thing: just works

as far a i know lyrics panel is not ready, but i don't use it anyway, i like to use lyrics->edit (of course i have hotkey "L" for it).

is there a way to store/read the lyrics from the %unsynced lyrics% field? AFAIK this is the most common way to store lyrics in id3 tags (judging by the lot of taggers that use this field)
Almost all of my mp3 have their lyrics stored in this field, so i don't want to break compatibility

i love this lyricsdb plug-in. but i'm noticing that when i select multiple files and get the lyrics from the db, it only grabs the lyrics for 2 or 3 of the files.

You can set up the lyrics tag in the preferences: ctrl+p -> tools -> LyricsDB -> "tag to store lyrics in" editbox. Than try "edit" from context menu (right click -> lyrics -> edit) it should open window, containing lyrics. Works?

i just tried to do the system of a down - mezmerize album. it only grabbed soldier side, revenga, and violent pornography. i downloaded the lyrics to the rest of the tracks individually, so i know the lyrics were in the db.

So, additionally to the dlls you have to have some weired manifest file near them. You can download it here: http://lyrics.mirkforce.net/files/manifest.zip. Does it help?

Got the plugin working now!
I've downloaded and installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) and after that the errormessage at the foobar2000 startup was gone and the lyricsdb-Plugin working.
You can find the Package here: www.microsoft.com
I've downloaded the package in the german localized version (my OS is german), maybe that has something to do with it. But I'm not sure what the exact difference is.

But it's still strange that plain copying of the dll's didn't work. AFAIK does the redistributable Package the same by just copying those dll's to the system32 folder.

foobar chraches when I want to download lyrics (only on some tracks)
It shouldn't appear after i disabled that feature for beta 0 yesterday. And it is fixed in foo_lyricsdb_007_beta1.zip, sorry. What a day…

p.s. "It feature": box for selection lyrics version. That feature caused 95% of all errors with the plugin, but i really like it anyway.
p.p.s. it's a good idea to update up to beta 1, it contains fix for the error, mentioned above by Birk, and other little fixes.
