Add pane for Recently Played?

Howdy, I'm familiar with Library > Playback Stats > Show Recently Played and also familiar with adding a playlist based on this per this posting: https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,78558.msg686484.html#msg686484
HOWEVER after using it for a bit it doesn't suit my needs as anytime I view the recently played playlist then shutdown the computer, it becomes the active playlist unless I click back on my "entire collection" playlist.
I would like to add a pane just like any other pane that would just show like last 25 played...so more or less dock the Library > Playback Stats > Show Recently Played popup so that info is always visible.
