Can't add files to library over network - xp and Win 7

I've installed foobar to a new win7 PC. Foobar on other Win XP PCs on the network can see my music files on the win7 box, and I can add them individually and play. But when I ask the library to add the mp3 directory over the network, instead of the normal 'indexing' I get a 'pending' notice -- and nothing happens.  The files reside on the win7 PC. How do I get my other installs of foobar to add them to the local library so I can create playlists, etc.  Thanks

Click either "OK" or "Apply" at the bottom of the Preferences dialog to get rid of the "pending" status.
Microsoft Windows: We can't script here, this is bat country.

Duh!  This must be different from previous versions, because I don't remember having to do it before.  I've been struggling to get my new win7 box to network correctly, and this was the last thing to do.  Many thanks.
