I see the converter now supports the latest nero aac encoder. Good.
ReplayGain calculations still get applied only after a further mouse click. Bad.

I just updated and whenever I try playing a song I get

Code: [Select]
playback error

Unrecoverable playback error: Bug check

Worked fine previously. It occurs even if I change my output device. Only other things different were I updated KS and got the new convolver, but it still happens if I remove them from the components folder.

Does it have LAME profile detection?  I'm itching to combine that with the cool new rename directory tool to add the lame settings to my collection.

Any chance the keyboard shortcuts for Volume set to 0 dB, 3dB, 6dB, 9 dB will return?
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

I have downloaded the new nero aac encoder. Can you enlighten me as to which folder I should unzip it to for fb2k 0.9.2b to recognise it? TIA.

I've got mine in the foobar2000 folder, where the foobar2000.exe resides. You may have to add a new encoding preset with "Add new"...

You can throw it anywhere. If fb2k doesn't find it, it will ask you where it is.

This was moved to the Monkey's Audio component which will be updated with foobar2000 0.9.2 final.

That's nice, however I've been experiencing problems with MP3+CUE and MP3+APL playback. When you play an MP3 file, seektables are remembered in RAM, so seeking works faster next time (as foobar2000 FAQ says), but if playing CUE/APL, foobar2000 will read through the whole MP3 the next time you play it. This happens only for CUEs which split an MP3 to multiple tracks. Play last track of a 70 min album, start it again and you'll see. That was always fine with foobar2000 v0.8.3, the very first betas of v0.9, but then it works the way I described, and in v0.9.2 too.

0.9.2:
* Support for realtime DSP preset editing
...

Could anyone please tell me what is that supposed to be?

P.S. “Please select a subpage.” looks ugly.

Sort of implies that there shouldn't be a delay when changing or adjusting the settings of a DSP. Doesn't seem to be the case though...

A couple of requests for using the new Nero AAC encoder.

1)  Ability to select neroAacEnc_sse2.exe instead of the non-sse2 version.
2)  Ability to have the extension m4a instead of mp4.

Going to set up a custom encoder for now.  Thanks for all the work.

No, he didn't. Sliders offer a quicker way to change the encoder settings.
