organizing albums on MP3 cds

I was given a used portable cd player which plays regular cds and mp3 files.
brand: Classic
model: CM341
I've converted all of the albums of some of my favore bands (U2, King's X, The Call) to mp3 with --alt-preset cbr 128, for usage on trips this summer and stuff.
This player doesn't have a "skip forward 10 tracks" button, nor does it display ID3 tags.  However, it does have an "album number" character on the lcd display; I'm wondering if it does this by folders on the cd or by ID3 tags.  I'll probably figure this out soon enough by burning some sample mp3 discs, but if anyone has any thoughts I'd appreciate hearing them.  Will probably buy my own player eventually, once ogg-compatibility is available.
God kills a kitten every time you encode with CBR 320
