Sadly the web host f2o is no more, so I've had to move the home page for LameTag and LameTagGUI. They're now hosted at http://phwip.wordpress.com (http://phwip.wordpress.com). I guess they're probably not used by many people these days, but I thought it would be worth keeping them available somewhere.
I use both lameversion and LameTagGUI. So keep up the good work
Hi.
When I tried to download LameTag today, none of the links at http://phwip.wordpress.com (http://phwip.wordpress.com) seemed to work. Is this just a temporary problem? Does anyone know of another site where I can get a copy of both the command line and the GUI?
I just found out about this tool, and I am getting a dead link aswell...

The link is working fine today!
I am taking this up again after 13 years.
The link to https://phwip.wordpress.com/home/audio/ still exists. The links given there for the download of Lametag and Lametaggui, which point to a Dropbox account, lead to nothing.
Does anyone know of working links or still has the tools themselves?
Does anyone know if the tool is still functional?
I can offer the following, but I don't have the GUI.
www.rarewares.org/john33/LameTag_0.4.1.zip (http://www.rarewares.org/john33/LameTag_0.4.1.zip)
But I just found this: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lametag/ (https://sourceforge.net/projects/lametag/)
@john33 Thank you very much for your efforts. Unfortunately, however, they are completely different programs.
The Lametag program of this thread lists the very own tags that Lame writes and that are contained in a file.
The program you found takes care of the conversion from waves to MP3s and writes ID3v1 tags.
Ah, that's unfortunately confusing! I believe the link at #6 is that program in the command line version although I haven't looked at it in many years.
