Can i write command line options together?

Newbie question, but can i write my command line options together instead of spaced apart? So instead of "-8 -e -p -V" for example, just simply "-8Vep" will that still work?

Yes. Works, and is the same.

But you have to start again with new space and hyphen when you have given a parameter.
-8Vr7 -pb2048 works. But -8Vr7pb2048 will (I think!) disregard everything after the "7".
